FTL: Six-legged horse-like animal

I got this idea after seeing this event in FTL:

Scanners are showing intelligent life forms on a nearby planet. No match for them can be found in the database.

Investigate.

You land a small shuttle in an enormous field, whose only
occupants are small, brightly colored, six-legged, horse-like animals.
Could they be what your scans picked up?

Try to communicate peacefully.

You try to communicate in every possible way you can but
they just stand there, silently judging you with their large,
expressionless eyes. You prepare to leave.

This is what I imagined that the six-legged horses would look like. I just did some editing work on a normal horse in GIMP. I copied the legs and tried blending them onto the body with the smudge tool. I even edited in some shadows for the extra 2 legs even though it does look a little fake. I also brightened the horse's color by increasing the saturation and giving it a red tone since it originally looked too orange for my liking.

They also show the six-legged horse event but it looked like a rainbow zebra with 4 front legs and 2 back legs which is not how I pictured these creatures.
